REPORTS AND DECISIONS

The meeting was opened by RSNTTD President Prof. Klyuev V. V. He briefly summarized results of preparation for 10th European Conference on Non-Destructive Testing and “Non-Destructive testing” exhibition. The final part of the preparation is beginning. The main task for sections’ chairmen is to provide performance of planned sessions taking into consideration the possibility that a number of reporters may not attend. President called upon all board members and regional representatives to take active part in preparations for the conference and assist the Organizing committee in its holding.
1. Mr. Artemiev B. V. Reported on the first matter. In the conference Representatives from 57 countries will take part in the conference and more than 700 reports will be presented in 24 sections during 56 sessions. The number of poster reports is 130. During the conference 6 meetings of ICNDT, EFNDT and Academia NDT International will be held. A large exhibition on NDT technical aids will be held. Visiting the exhibition is free of charge with o tickets required.
Decided: take into consideration the information on preparations progress for 10th ECNDT and all RSNTTD board members must take active part in its performance.
2. Mr. Fedosenko Yu. K. reported on the second matter that in 29 international and national conferences and exhibitions will take its place in 2010. The main event is 10th ECNDT in Moscow and the following are of an interest and importance national NDT conferences such as ASNT, DGZFP, England, Denmark and others, 4th American-Japanese symposium on “New NDT possibilities for global safety provision”.
Decided: to take into consideration the information on main conferences and exhibitions in 2010. In case of participation of Russian specialists in certain foreign conference and exhibitions it is recommended to inform RSTTD about it for consolidation of science-technical materials.
3. Mr. Lysitsin V. I. reported on the third matter. He told about new results in personnel certification and main results of NDT means (NDTM) accreditation in 2009 and tasks for 2010 in this field. 1225 personnel-methods were certified in 2009. In 2010 it is planned to increase personnel certification on 5%. Updating the examinational questions for personnel certification for I, II and III level is planned.
In RSNTTD the system of voluntary NDTM certification is used to verify its compliance to its type. Only those NDTM are subjected to certification which are not indicating devices. On the average the demand for certification is 14 devices per year.
Decided: to take into consideration the information on personnel certification and NDTM accreditation.
4. Mr. Kleyzer P. Y. Reported on NDT publications matter. “Testing. Diagnostics” magazine runs a website related to formation of a database of publications (monographies, educational editions, practical guides and others) in the field of NDT methods and aids. In recent 3-4 years 30 reference books and monographies were published in our country.
Decided: to take into consideration the information on NDT publication.
In the miscellaneous part reports were made by: Belobragin V. Ya., Sukhorukov V. V., Samokrutov A. A. A matter on self-regulating organizations in the context of technical regulations reorganization. Sukhorukov V. V. suggested main NDT companies to take part in events for development of a number of technical regulations in the field of NDT.
